Lyft Price Lock Terms and Conditions

PRICE LOCK IS AN AUTOMATICALLY RENEWING SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE. AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD, LYFT WILL AUTOMATICALLY CHARGE YOUR DEFAULT PAYMENT METHOD. LYFT WILL CHARGE YOU UNLESS YOU CANCEL OR WE TERMINATE YOUR ACCOUNT.

These Lyft Price Lock Terms and Conditions (“Price Lock Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lyft, Inc., and any Lyft affiliates (“Lyft”, “we”, “us”), governing your use of the price lock product (“Price Lock”). By purchasing and using any version of Price Lock, you expressly acknowledge that you understand and agree to the Price Lock Terms and the Lyft Terms of Service, including its arbitration provisions. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE PRICE LOCK TERMS AND THE LYFT TERMS OF SERVICE, THEN DO NOT PURCHASE, ACTIVATE, OR OTHERWISE USE PRICE LOCK.

Price Lock is an automatically-renewing subscription membership that provides you with access to a Price Lock Pass (“Price Lock Pass”). Your Price Lock Pass will automatically renew at the end of each monthly subscription period, and you authorize Lyft to charge your default payment method the applicable then-current subscription price (plus applicable taxes) at the start of every renewal period, until canceled. If your default payment method is invalid or fails for any reason, then you agree that Lyft may retry your default payment method or process the balance of the applicable charge to your secondary payment method(s) in the Lyft Application (“Lyft App”) until your payment has been successfully processed. Lyft is not responsible for any fees charged by your bank including, but not limited to, overdraft fees, insufficient funds fees, interest charges, etc.

Your Price Lock Pass entitles you to a locked-in price for your route that is valid for one month from the beginning of each subscription period. Locked-in prices may vary each month, and are only available for Standard and Wheelchair rides. Your Price Lock Pass may not be used for Business Profile rides. Your Price Lock Pass cannot be used for scheduled rides, and does not apply to gratuities and extra fees that are not included in your locked-in price, including, but not limited to, cancellation fees, wait time fees, damage fees, and lost item fees. For a ride request to be eligible for the locked-in price, the pickup and drop-off locations must be within the coverage area and time request window associated with the Price Lock Pass. The locked-in price will not be applied if the final destination is not the same as the destination in the ride request, additional stops are added, or the time or distance of the ride differs substantially from the ride request. Price Lock Pass routes may have a mileage limit as determined by Lyft. Rides requested for other users will not receive the locked-in price. When selecting a route and time window at the time of purchase of your Price Lock Pass, time window selection may be limited to specific hours as determined by Lyft.

A maximum savings limit will be applied during each monthly subscription period as compared to the actual market-rate price of each ride. Any maximum savings limit will be determined by Lyft and is subject to change. If your remaining savings amount does not cover the discount amount for a ride, the discount amount will be decreased. You may view your accrued savings on the pass details page under the price lock tab in the Lyft App. If the actual market-rate price at the time of ride request is lower than the locked-in price, the market-rate price will apply. The maximum savings limit does not apply when the actual market-rate price is applied.

Lyft may limit the number of Price Lock Passes you have active at the same time. Price Lock and your Price Lock Pass may be modified, revoked, suspended, or terminated by Lyft at any time in Lyft’s sole discretion, including if we suspect that you have engaged in fraudulent or abusive activity. Price Lock may not be available in all locations or available to all users of the Lyft platform.

Your Price Lock Pass has no cash value and may not be transferred, exchanged, or resold. Your Price Lock Pass is non-refundable after taking your first ride. It is your responsibility to timely cancel Price Lock if you wish to prevent future charges for your subscription membership, and to review all charges incurred in connection with your subscription membership. Lyft may limit the combination of Price Lock with other promotions, discounts, or offers. Lyft reserves the right to modify these Price Lock Terms at any time, effective upon posting in the Lyft App. Your continued use of Price Lock following such modification will constitute your agreement to the revised Price Lock Terms. In the event of any conflict between these Price Lock Terms and the Lyft Terms of Service, the Lyft Terms of Service will prevail.
